In total the team from Weisskopf Engineering accumulates more than 120 years of profound sector experience, distributed over a small and effective team. Marcel joined Weisskopf Engineering in 2011 as Deputy Managing Director and Partner.
The focuses of his work include the development of strategic concepts for the enhancement and renewal of telematics systems in public transport, technical analysis of complex matters and the development of appropriate set of measures, as well as the technical and organizational advice on the use of telematics systems in public transport.
He is specialized in passenger information, transfer protection planning and monitoring, passenger counting, statistical analysis, analogue and digital radio communication (TETRA, UMTS / GPRS), integrative systems analysis and the moderation of solution processes.
Through his many years in various management roles, Marcel has a solid leadership competence and moderating skills. Among other things, he led a development department with 150 employees with offices in Poland, USA and Switzerland. In a couple of committees, he was heavily involved in the standardisation and normalisation in research projects for real-time data interfaces (CEN, SIRI, and VDV). He has a brought technical expertise in various projects in the area of control and information systems developed for public transport where he played a key role from the analysis to the implementation.

Patrick joined Weisskopf Engineering in 2011 as Managing Director and Partner. His focuses of expertise are technical and organisational themes in the field of electronic ticketing systems for public transport companies.
During his long career in the traffic telematics for public transport, he worked in different roles and gained a lot of practical experience: software development, development and offer project management, management of system architecture, product line management and market strategy. Among other things, he also worked as project manager in the most innovative eTicketing projects such as Easy Ride (Geneva / Basel), intermobilPASS (Dresden) and he was a member of the core team BIBO (BeIn-Beout) at the SBB (Swiss Federal Railways).
In his various roles, he worked internationally in different countries such as India, USA, the Middle East and South Africa.

Manfred joined Weisskopf Engineering in December 2014.
His focuses of expertise are technical and organisational consulting in the field of electronic ticketing systems and telematics systems for public transport companies. This also includes technical analysis of complex matters and the development of appropriate set of measures.
His specialities are ITCS/Telematics systems, transfer protection planning and monitoring, passenger counting, statistical analysis and business intelligence for public transport companies.
He has profound knowledge in the following areas:
ITCS/Telematics Systems: project management for the development of Telematics systems, ticket printer and on-board computer. Product management for concepts and development of transfer protection planning and monitoring, statistical analysis and business intelligence solutions for public transport.
Passenger Counting Systems: Project management for the development of passenger counting systems. Product manager for passenger counting systems with different sensor technologies and suppliers, reports and extrapolation.
Electronic Ticketing: Project and product management for the projects intermobil and type approval of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) for a BIBO system, which includes an automatic usage detection with the piloted BIBO (BeIn - BeOut ) approach. Assisting in the VDV core application to define the standards for a BIBO system.

Bruno joined Weisskopf Engineering in 2017.
He focuses on ITCS/Telematics systems, vehicle equipment, passenger counting, network integration as well as ICT organisation for public transports.
Bruno has broad experience in various management and subject matter expert roles. Amongst other things he led a product management and development organisation for hardware equipment and software applications for public transport vehicles and for passenger stops. He headed the IT department of a major Swiss transportation authority, led a customer service organisation, managed complex projects and played key roles in various projects by providing support and troubleshooting for complex issues.
He works in an integrating and solution oriented manner und aims for win-win solutions.
In his various roles he worked internationally in countries such as the USA and a number of European countries.

Susanne Metzger

Susanne has been working for Weisskopf Engineering as a Documentation Specialist in public transport since 2020. Her focus is on the creation of technical documentation and training material, creation of SharePoint pages and controlling of project-specific documentation.
During her many years as a Technical Writer and Project Manager of translation projects, she has worked in a variety of roles and gained extensive practical experience: Creating technical documentation in the field of public transport, documentation support during international tenders, coordination and management of translation projects.
She also plays a key role in defining documentation and translation processes as well as maintaining the Content Management System according to agreed-on guidelines. Due to her experience in the area of term definitions, she is a member of a cross-company glossary team.
Through her engagement in an international environment, she is used to working in different languages and a variety of teams and to contributing her technical expertise.
